Testing New Photo Option through Picasa

Ohh This seems to be really nice. I like that it is more of a 1 step process for uploading pictures through picasa.  There's a new button I added called "blog this". I select pictures, push the button and a new window is opened with a new blogger post and the pictures already populated in there.  All automagically. Nice!

Here's some of the Pollack inspired art my kiddos have done.

Looks like the answer is....

YES - at least technically.  The pictures and such went up easy and adding text worked perfectly. Great news.

Now, for the answer from the heart.  Part of me would prefer to not take the time....but I know that I will appreciate myself more for taking the time to at least post pictures.   My biggest problem is OVER THINKING it ~ Not worring if my pictures aren't "good enough" or if the background of the pictures show the kids toys on the floor or a messy counter.    We're not perfectly tidy people throughout the day. That's us.
Also, not putting too much time into what I"m writing. Sometimes I read it over a billion times(it seems) before I post...then I read it again. Why do I do that?  There aren't any grammar police cruising my blog to find errors and why would I really care if they did.    Mostly, its because I want my words to be clear and like I said in the previously post, this writing business is very difficult for me.

Ok, so back to blogging. Ideally it would be weekly, but probably bi-weekly is more realistic.  Let's hope I remember to take pictures!!  My friend suggested to take one every day. That's a great idea.  It's June 2nd today - so ramp up time of 3 months should be a good amount.  Wish me luck!

Can I begin blogging again?

First off, I'm not a writer.  It's hard for me to put my thoughts down on paper. In fact, it takes a really, really long time for me to create any blog post.  So already, this isn't my wheelhouse, so to speak and it was hard to find the motivation to blog. Preschool was taking a ton of time for me to prepare and I was feeling like every moment was preparing for school, doing school or blogging about school. So my efforts had worn thin. Then after many many frustrating episodes with attempting to upload pictures into my other blog, I decided to let it go for that year.  One year turned into two.  Now I'm looking back over those old blog posts and my heart warms at the pictures, activities and time I put into remembering.

I would very much like to blog again this year. However, I have to find an easier way to deal with pictures. So....here's hoping that any kinks have been worked out magically.

I'm just adding some pictures of our art class. Rachel moved to town and asked others on our local Moms Club if they were interested in doing a weekly art class.  I jumped at the chance.  That was February 2011.  Her ideas were awesome! She is a natural art lover and teacher. Her teaching techniques, art lesson ideas and passion completely inspired me.  My kiddos have gotten to do things I would have never prepared or braved on my own.  We've covered tons of artists and recovered many favorites. It's now May 2013 and she's moving back home. I'm grateful for the time she and her darlings were part of our lives. She had a bigger impact than she will ever know.  I'm excited for the new friends she will make - and inspire!

Her and I after a 3 hour visit to MOMA with very young children. This was one of those things I would have NEVER done without her. We all had a terrific time and I would absolutely go back with the kids....even on my own!
